Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the company comprises five members nominated and elected by the Synod of Western Transvaal to form the Synod Committee for the Ministry of Caring (SCMC). They then co-opt other experts to form the Board of Directors of NG Welfare North West with them. Six members of the Board of Directors are ministers in the NG Church and represent a specific area or fill a specific position within the Synod.

Two experts, co-opted for their legal and financial expertise respectively, currently serve on the Board of Directors. Eight of the current eleven members, the chairperson excluded, are thus non-executive and are independent of the core business and daily management of the company. The non-executive members independence is evaluated annually. The Board of Directors meets quarterly.
