Where do we work and what services do we offer?
The Home is a proud branch of NG Welfare North West and its doors were opened on 14 October 1972.
The Home can accommodate 114 residents and comprises single rooms with shared bathrooms as well as double rooms and four-bed rooms. The Home also has 6 single rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom (shower, wash basin and toilet). These rooms cost more than the normal single rooms (R9 700) and are in high demand.
Lodging fee from 1 March 2022 to 28 February 2023 amounts to R8 700 pm per person for a standard room and includes the following: all meals, laundry, a safe environment as well as a 24-hour medical support service.
The Home also has a number of facilities that, amongst others, includes a tuck shop, library and hair salon. Churches in the vicinity are also actively involved in the Home and regularly visit residents. Approximately three church services per week are held in the Home’s Recreation Hall. There’s also a state appointed Doctor that visits the Home once a week. We make an effort to celebrate special days such as birthdays; Valentine’s Day; Mother’s- and Father’s Day; Christmas etc and it is well received by the residents.
