Where do we work and what services do we offer?
Krugersdorp office has existed since 1947. In the office files are stored containing information on many families of many generations ago that have resided in the service area.
The largest part of the office’s activities is the protection of children in the community of Krugersdorp’s magistrate’s district. The protection of children creates huge challenges and tension in the workers, but also pride. Attempts are made to render the best services to children that have to endure the children’s court system. Assessment of the children as well as their parents, preparation for court procedures, requesting the best legal representation, placements that present the least disruption and most development, as well as an aftercare service that will be in their best interest.
The office’s strong point is the support and assistance the office receives from each congregation in the presbytery of Krugersdorp. Each minister’s positive involvement and attitude towards the office and the staff really are heartening to us.
